Where to eat
The traditional way of preparing food is highly nurtured by the local people in Opuzen. The Neretva region is widely known for its traditional “Neretva brudet” / “Neretva broth” in which the main ingredients are eels and frogs. The white meat of the frogs’ hind legs can be fried in breadcrumbs, grilled with garlic or wrapped in slivers of homemade ham. In this area, in addition to traditional dishes, Mediterranean cuisine predominates, so you can find all other mediterranean fish or meat delicacies, on your menu.
